Earth’s magnetic North Pole is shifting from Canada to Russia.

A movement with unexpected characteristics in Earth’s magnetism has scientists around the world intrigued. And it is that in recent years it has been moving away from Canada and heading towards Siberia, Russia. Scrolling has been so fast that it has forced more frequent updates to GPS navigation systems, including those that use the maps of our smartphones.

Earth has three poles at its top.

A geographic pole, which is where the planet’s axis of rotation intersects the surface.

The geomagnetic pole is the location that best suits a classic dipole (its position changes little).

And then there is the magnetic North Pole, which is where the field lines are perpendicular to the surface. This is the one that has been moving..

Due to its core made of liquid metal, the Earth works like a huge magnet with positive and negative poles. The magnetic field is a “layer” of forces around the planet between these two poles. This layer is called the magnetosphere, and it is extremely important to life on Earth.

“It is the magnetic field that protects us from particles that come from outside, especially from the solar wind (which can be very harmful),” explains geologist Ricardo Ferreira Trindade, researcher at the Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics at the University of São Paulo (USP).

Most of the magnetic field is generated by the movement of the liquid metals that make up the center of the planet. As the flow varies, the field changes. The point, according to Trindade, is that in the last ten years it has “varied at a much greater speed than it did in the past.”

Changes in the flows of melted material inside the planet have altered the strength of the areas of negative magnetic flux. “This change in the flow pattern has weakened the part below Canada and slightly increased the strength of the patch below Siberia,” explained Dr. Phil Livermore.

That is why the North Pole has left its historic position on the Canadian Arctic and has crossed the International Date Line.

Will progress slow down? “No one knows whether or not it will back down in the future,” British scientist Phil Livermore told him. The team’s latest model indicates that the pole will continue to advance towards Russia, but at some point, it will begin to decline. At his maximum speed, he has been driving 50-60 km a year.

The recent polo race led to the US National Center for Geophysical Data. and the British Geological Survey to issue an early update to the World Magnetic Model last year.

The Jewel Beetle (Coleoptera: Buprestidae) is capable of detecting fires more than 80Km away.

After a forest fire the females fly to the fire and lay the eggs on the wood, still smoking. In this way the larvae of this species of beetle can develop without competition since the other insects will have fled to other places that have not been eaten by the flames. These insects lay their eggs on recently burned trees and because of this need they have the ability to detect forest fires at great distances.

Legend of the Phoenix Bird

When the Phoenix Bird feels it is coming to an end, it builds a nest with oak branches on top of a palm tree. Stuff it with cinnamon, nardos and myrrh. There he stands and chanting the most sublime of his melodies and consumes himself on fire. After 3 days, from his own ashes, a new Phoenix emerges. When he is strong enough, he takes the nest to Heliopolis in Egypt and deposits it in the Temple of the Sun. As the new Phoenix accumulates all the knowledge gained from its origins, a new cycle of inspiration begins.

It is said of the Phoenix bird that its tears are healing and that it has great physical endurance. Also that controls fire and possesses infinite wisdom. He is, in essence, one of the most powerful archetypes for the philosopher Carl Gustav Jung, because in his fire it contains both creation and destruction, life and death.

Despite being a mythological being, the legend of the Phoenix bird encourages us to imitate it. Imitate his ability to be reborn from his ashes. To resurface when everything seems to have been lost. The ability to try the impossible. The strength to deal with the most difficult situations. Always hoping to resurface and light up the darkest roads with fire.

Some legends place it in Arabia, where it inhabits near a well of crystal-clear waters. There he bathes every day intonating a beautiful melody.

So beautiful, it makes the Sun God stop his car to hear it.For its part, in China, the Phoenix is called Feng Huang, and symbolizes not only the highest virtue, power or prosperity. It also represents yin and yang, that duality that makes up everything that exists in the universe.

The Roman poet Ovid explained in his texts that, in Egypt, the bird Phoenix was dying and reborn once every 500 years. For the Egyptians this majestic heron was Bennu, a bird associated with the floods of the Nile, the sun and death. They explained that he was born under the tree of good and evil. This fantastic creature understood that it was necessary to renew itself from time to time. To gain greater wisdom and to do so, he followed a very meticulous process.

The highest mountain in the world is not Everest is the Mauna Loa volcano

Everest is the highest mountain in the world if we measure it from sea level, however, there are other mountains higher than this one, if we use another parameter to calculate its height. Mauna Loa Located in Hawaii is the largest volcano in the world. It reaches 4200 meters above sea level and about 6000 meters below sea level. Volcanoes can grow: Volcanoes are not static structures, their size can increase. Lava and ash accumulate as layers, in such a way that, over the years, their size increases. In fact, this is one of the mechanisms of formation of the planet’s elevations. However, the largest volcano known for the man is not found on Earth but on the planet Mars: it is called Mount Olympus and is 27 km long. Tall.
