Balance and Respect. A great reflection that leaves us these events around a pandemic.

How a microorganism it is capable of putting at risk the life of the human being, the economies of nations and the beliefs of men. That same human who believes himself superior to all other beings on the planet in which he coexists. It only takes a microscopic virus to show that this is not the case.

In this Majestic Planet, no being is more-or-less important, we all have our role and we must live in Balance with our home, our planet and Respecting life in general from the smallest of beings to the greatest of them. We all are important.

LED Lighting Eco-Friendly Option You Should Upgrade. Need reasons to make the switch to LED lights?

1. Save Money in your Bills: One of the most important reasons is that LED lights use less energy to operate than other light bulbs; use Less Energy (And Last Longer) residential LED bulbs use 75% less energy than an incandescent bulb, yet it lasts 25 times longer than a traditional bulb. As a result, money is saved on the cost of lighting.

2. Saves You Money by Purchase: An incandescent bulb for example osts $1 will still equal out to more than $50 over the course of 20 years due to how often you’ll have to replace it. An LED bulb that costs $10 will still only be $10 after 20 years since it’s unlikely to need replacing.

3. Safer Than Other Bulbs: Never Hot-to-the-Touch, Less Likely to Break.

4. Easier to Recycle & No Toxic Chemicals: Unlike CFL bulbs, LED does not use any mercury and other potentially hazardous materials.

5. Brightens Instantly: Both incandescent and CFL light bulbs may take a few moments to reach their full brightness, but LED lights reach 100 percent brightness instantly. They are also great for rooms where the lights go on and off frequently.

6. Does Not Cause UV Emissions: It does not emit any ultraviolet (UV) light and very little infrared light. You can use LED for items that are sensitive to heat or UV rays, such as priceless art or your wine collection. This is precisely why this type of lighting is becoming commonplace inside art galleries, at archaeological dig sites across the globe, and even inside wine coolers and beverage fridges.

7. Doesn’t Need High-Voltage Power Source: LED lighting is popular for walkways and other outdoor areas because it doesn’t need a high-voltage power source. This is an essential benefit for any homeowner wanting to add lights outside. Since LED lights only need a low amount of power, it’s becoming easier and easier to find outdoor LED lights that can charge via solar energy and remain bright throughout the night.

Once the container is full, it is easy to enter locations that receive recycled batteries, search the internet according to where you live centers that receive batteries and / or by participating in the many mail-in or take back programs that are available you will be surprised how easy it can be.

You can also recycle by the same way old electronics like TVs, laptops, tablets, mobile phones…

Electricity Capacity was renewable by almost 75% in 2019

Almost three-quarters of new electricity generation capacity built in 2019 uses renewable energy, representing an all-time record. New data from the International Renewable Energy Agency (Irena) shows solar, wind and other green technologies now provide more than one-third of the world’s power, marking another record.

Fossil fuel power plants are in decline in Europe and the US, with more decommissioned than built in 2019. But the number of coal and gas plants grew in Asia, the Middle East and Africa. In the Middle East, which owns half the world’s oil reserves, just 26% of new electricity generation capacity built in 2019 was renewable.

The world has invested about $3tn in renewables over the past decade, according to Irena, but annual investments must double by 2030 to tackle the climate emergency.

How to properly dispose of face masks and why always prefer reusable cloth masks.

Face masks are being discarded everywhere and is becoming a health and environmental hazard. The best practice is to use reusable cloth masks that can be washed and avoid disposable masks as much as possible in order to allow more supply of this for medical personnel and to avoid contaminating more with their disposal.

1. Remove your mask from behind without touching the front of the mask

2. Never throw your mask on the floor. It is dangerous and it could be infected. It could also be taken away by animals, or by the wind and end up in the sea, river, or nature. Discard it immediately in a closed bin (not recyclable) Disposal face masks should not be reused and cannot be recycled. The best practice is to use reusable cloth masks that can be washed.
3. Wash your hands with soap (or rub them with alcohol-based sanitizer)
4. Remember: The best defense against COVID-19 is frequent hand washing, avoiding being around sick people, staying home/physical distancing, and avoiding touching your face, mouth, eyes, and nose with unwashed hands.
